Ten Facts About Stalking

I have tried to sum up some of my knowledge of stalking - what stalkers are, what they do, and how you may react to what they do. These facts might not apply if you are followed by someone obsessed or madly in love with you. These refer to the evil and destructive version of stalking, the need to destroy a person.

Fact number 1

Stalkers are people who actively seek power over other people. They thrive on power and domination. Stalking, in itself, is an act of dominance.

Fact number 2

Stalkers are criminal destructive people, not victims. Stalkers deliberately violate another human being’s fundamental human rights. They can do this out of hatred or some other emotion, but it does not change the fact that they are destructive; their actions destroy other people’s lives.

Fact number 3

Stalking can divert your attention from your life to what the stalkers will do next. Be careful not to fall into the trap of not living your life. Even when it seems impossible, try to focus on your life and happiness and ignore the stalkers as much as possible.

Fact number 4

Stalking, and especially its extreme version, gang-stalking, is, in essence, ostracism in that it isolates the victim; that is, it controls the victim’s social relations. You will feel that even your sanctuary, e.g., your home, becomes a place you want to escape from. Realize this, accept what it is, and then you can emotionally work against it and focus on your life.

Fact number 5

Stalking and its extreme version, gang-stalking, is an action-reaction situation. The stalkers rely on you to react to the stalkers’ actions. Ignore the stalker and their actions as much as possible. Every time you respond, the stalkers win a point.

Fact number 6

Stalkers like to observe from a distance and in secret. This act of voyeurism and domination gives the stalkers a feeling of power over you. And people who actively seek to dominate others are dangerous.

Fact number 7

Stalkers will try to isolate you by contacting people you know, people you have known, and people you are in or might get in touch with. Be proactive; let people know what is going on in your life. Those who turn their back on you were not worth it to begin with.

Fact number 8

Most people will choose an exciting lie over a tedious truth. By telling horrendous lies about you, the stalkers ensure people won’t listen to your truth. You are de facto isolated by lies told about you; the lies become your emotional prison.

Fact number 9

Stalking is to steal another person’s life without killing the person. It is not murder. But to the victim, it can feel like a slow death. So, never forget to reflect on your mental state as well. Stalking victims do have a high rate of PTSD. Suicide is also a risk.

Fact number 10

You are never guilty of the actions of others. Reject all Victim Blaming. Resist the stupidity of the question:

But why does he/she/they do this?

Don’t fall into the trap of reflecting on this. You cannot answer that question, and you should never have been asked in the first place. You don’t know why because it is not you doing it. You are not a mind reader, so don’t try to be one. You are the victim when someone is stalking you. Never believe anything else.

Thanks for reading! I hope what I have learned over the years can give you a better idea of what stalking can be, and if you are a victim, use it to improve your situation. Until next time, remember to get your facts straight and that whatever good times you have will never come back as bad times,
