My name is My. I have a degree in Comparative Literature (Litteraturvidenskab) and continuous education in journalism. I speak and work in English, French, and Danish (native language). I am located in Denmark.

Over the past three decades, I have worked in advertising, language quality analysis at all levels, editing, reviewing, copywriting, translation, and fact-checking, as well as other fields.

By the summer of 2007, I had concluded that being confined to an office all day wasn’t for me, regardless of the office. So in 2007, I decided to cut the biblical cord to financial security altogether.

‍I packed up everything I owned, placed it in storage, joined the poverty jet set, and traveled for about a year. In the summer of 2008, I ended up in Paris, my absolute favorite city in Europe, just my Yorkie pup and me.

For the first time in a decade, I felt at home. I was sure I had finally found my forever home. It turned out that I was very wrong a few years later.

Measuring out my life with coffee spoons in the Marais in 2008, I decided that I would not work to live. I would rather make less money doing what I love than make good money being bored.

And so I began freelancing.

I have been self-employed since 2008 - aside from a CDD contract, teaching English in a language school in Paris from 2008 to 2009 – translating, LQA, fact-checking, editing & writing copy.

In 2026, I decided to give in to our machine overlords (!) and do Data Annotation and Assessment as well.

Content & Copy (Danish)

What if your bold creativity was the shortcut to a sophisticated and authentic voice?

Creating a voice that engages and oozes trustworthiness does not have to be as scary as jumping out of airplanes without a parachute. Sometimes, all it takes for you to find your inspiration, embrace the opportunity, and start your journey toward creating that sophisticated and authentic voice for your brand is focus.

I can work from master texts or from scratch.

Fact-Checking

Do you want to place your story above the rest out there? Do you want to be heard and trusted? Do you want to ensure that nothing gets lost in translation? And do you want to be known for your honesty and focus?

Then you need to get your facts straight!

I don’t like the word undercover, that’s for cops. I prefer to say that I can find and verify facts that you can only access by living the life and situation you are looking into. I call this fact-checking.

Translation

(English/French into Danish

All put together, I have translated, edited, and proofread more than 2 million words from English and French to Danish for some of the biggest and some of the smaller translation agencies from all over the world (such as England, the United States, Italy, India, Finland, Belgium, Sweden, and Israel). This work has given me the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best in the business and to gain 15 years of experience working with major clients, including Airbnb, Grohe, the EU, Bodum, Hugo Boss, HomeToGo, various French vineyards, Disneyland Paris, and Lenovo.

QA

  • Because that would require me to post all terms in both languages, and to have two cookie banners, too, as I have been informed, so it is in English only.

English, or Eurish (European English), is the lingua franca in the EU today, so this website is in English, or Eurish if you like.

  • Well, because the blog is what it is, a blog. It is not a source of income, it doesn’t contain affiliate marketing, it is what it is. So my posting schedule is rather irregular, as well as infrequent. However, if you want to be notified when there is a new blog post, you can sign up here, and I will send you an email when I post a new blog post. Even if this is just an email, please remember that due to rules and regulations, you will still have to tick a box stating that you accept receiving marketing material and news updates from me.
