My Never-Ending Apartment Story Part 3

It happened!

On Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022, after two years and eight months, I got the rest of my deposit back from my Parisian landlord of 2019. The fine the judge ordered the landlord to pay has not been paid yet, more than 4000 €, and the French huissier de justice I hired to deal with this has not returned my latest inquiries.

The silver lining remains: I got my security deposit back, even if it cost me more to get it back than I was actually paid back.

It was a question of right and wrong, putting a partial lid on Paris and nine weeks in hell in the fall of 2019. The more extreme line of events from September 2019 – November 2019 still lingers in the back of my head like a bad dream. But for now, it looks like this could be the beginning of a financial ending to what once seemed like a never-ending Parisian apartment story.

Thanks for reading! I hope you found it valuable and worth your time! Until next time, remember to get your facts straight and that whatever good times you have will never come back as bad times,
